p2S children’s book

This children’s book was created as part of P2S’s 35th Anniversary celebration.

"Lizzie the Engineer and the Secret Life of Buildings" is a fun, lighthearted tale that shows kids (and kids at heart) how mechanical engineering and HVAC equipment are critical in maintaining clean air and a comfortable temperature in a setting they will be intimately familiar with, the classroom. Through some problem-solving and fine-tuning of equipment, Lizzie saves the classroom from unbearable heat and stinky air. The story is sure to get young readers interested in (or at least asking questions about) engineering.

This digital release included PDF and EPUB formats.

Character Design Sheet: The main character, Lizzie is a commissioning engineer. Blaze, our “villain,” represents a mischievous prankster who causes trouble for Lizzie and the students. The rest of the characters are anthropomorphized HVAC parts.
